A Note on the Mexican Spanish Text Normalizer
The Text Normalization processing of the Mexican Spanish Text-to-Speech system attempts to make reasonable conversions of simple symbolic formats, including: a small set of standard abbreviations, cardinal numbers, ordinal numbers, dates, times, Mexican currency, and fractions. However, in some cases the system may not optimally convert rare, complicated, or semantically ambiguous symbolic formats.
